Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
Tool Tags (tooltags.extrarealitycafe.com) lets you make printable QR codes that list the tools stored in a toolbox, drawer, or bin. This policy explains what Tool Tags stores, who can see it, and how to delete it.
What we store
- Your Google account ID and email address. You sign in with Google. Google handles the sign-in, and Tool Tags never sees or stores your password. We keep your account ID and email only so we can recognize you when you sign in.
- Your tags. The tag names, tools, quantities, and notes you enter.
- A sign-in session. A random code that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Only a scrambled (hashed) copy is stored on our side.
That's everything. We don't collect your name, photo, contacts, location, or anything else from your Google account.
Who can see your tags
Tags are meant to be scanned, so anything on a tag is public to anyone who scans its QR code or has its link. From a scanned tag, anyone can also search the tools on all of your tags. Don't put private information on a tag.
Your email address is never shown to anyone else or shared.
Cookies and tracking
Tool Tags uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking cookies. We don't sell or share your information.
Services we rely on
- Google provides sign-in, under Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the data, under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the lettering on the site.
Deleting your data
Choose Account → Delete my account while signed in. That permanently erases your account, every tag, and all sign-in sessions right away. Printed codes stop working. You can also delete single tags at any time.
Children
Tool Tags isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
